We spent Christmas Eve at my mom and dad's.
Looks like we're ready for the big day!!
We had our annual night of looking at Christmas lights and singing Christmas carols.

I didn't want to leave these guys out of the pictures!
It's so fun to have all three kids home again for a while! Aren't they just cute?
We had Thanksgiving at Grandpa and Grandma's house along with Pat and Wendy. Here are the cousins enjoying their gingerbread house.
Well, the Ram's didn't take state but we're still #2! Not too bad! Brennan was pretty disappointed of course, but next year he'll be playing again and hopefully that will be the year to go all the way! It was a great season of football!!
Our Highland team beat Centennial 17-12 in the semi-final game! We now play Meridian next Friday night for the state title. This is Highland's 10th time playing for state in 11 years. Brennan is still cheering from the sideline. :(
Mariah has her driver's permit now! She drove me home from class tonight, but I was brave! Really, she is an excellent driver and it's just my own paranoia that stresses me out!!
My cousin Sean was in town for business. It has been at least 8 years since I have seen him, maybe much longer. Mariah and I went over to Wendy's to visit for just a little while. It was great to see you Sean!
Brennan had another dance already. This was girl ask guy. He had a great time, he really loves to dance!!
Well too bad Kelsey and Jacqúe only got to see Bren play until half-time. He was making a tackle and jammed his finger into another helmet. The sports medicine guy said we really needed to get him to the hospital and have his finger x-rayed. So we left the game. (Highland won anyway!)Sure enough, his right index finger was broken right in two. So Saturday, the 8th, Brennan went in for a two hour surgery. He had a plate and four screws put in. The worst news was that he will be out for the season. That info. is still hard to take.Brennan still goes to all the practices and is on the sideline during the games. He has taken this all really well! Tonight, the 28th, is our last game before playoffs. This is a picture of his finger during surgery. Nice, huh? I thought it might be appropriate to add since this is the Halloween season.
Kelsey and her boyfriend, Jacqúe, were here to visit us for the weekend (Oct. 6-10). Kelsey had a fall break from school and they both wanted to see Brennan play football. We were sooo happy to see them for a few days!
Katie and Brennan are off to the Homecoming dance. (In style!)
What a nice win for the Homecoming game! Brennan got several tackles, he was awesome!
Here are the girls, just for good measure!
Brennan's invitation to Homecoming was a success! Katie had a very unique way to say YES!!
We finally finished our long summer project of laying tile in our kitchen and dining room. It was a long haul and a longer story! But it's done and it's beautiful!!Brennan has been busy with football and seemingly, more importantly, asking a girl to the homecoming dance. He even wrote a poem! I think he could be quite the romantic like his father :) Mariah has been getting back into the routine of dance four times a week and gym once a week. I think she thrives on being active. She loves how it makes her feel.Kelsey is a Sophomore in college and starting to get some exam grades. She has been getting A's! And the classes are really tough this year. She has been asked to dance the part of the SugarPlum Fairy in the Nutcracker production. She is so excited to be able to get some dancing in for a change! That's just a quick update but I was under pressure from my sister to say something!
Here's all of us. Kelsey, Brennan, Mariah, Marty, and Cindy
Me and my girls! Kelsey and Mariah
I don't know why I'm doing this, it's not like I don't have better things to do with my time. Well, we'll see what comes of it. I thought maybe if I just get started maybe it will come easier. I'm not one to tell everyone what's happening in my life. It's not that I don't want anyone to know, I just doubt anyone really has the interest in my life. Anyway, I really am excited to give this form of expression a try. If you're not interested I guess you don't have to check it out. Here goes....
